What is the NYC DOB Worker Wallet?
The New York City Department of Buildings plans to make a process for NYC construction workers to eliminate the need to carry multiple training cards at a job site. Simplifying it by using the Training Connect app to view all earned certifications.
Who needs the Worker Wallet?
Currently, not all workers require this card. Only the following workers with these certifications will be required for this card:
- Mast Climber Operator and Refresher
- Climber/Tower Crane Rigger
- Rigging Supervisor and Worker
- Supported and Suspended Scaffold User
- Suspended Scaffold Supervisor
- Periodic Gas Piping Inspector
When Do I need the worker wallet card?
Starting November 1st, 2024, employers will be able to obtain a worker wallet card.
By July 1st, 2025, all workers who have these listed trainings will be required to have them at any NYC job site.
How do I get a Worker Wallet Card?
